Well, I can tell you from experience... after two years isolating myself from the world, lining the walls with aluminum foil, and wearing a titanium head shield, it didn't work. I still heard the voices.

Hmm, what is stopping "the signals" from entering into your brain from under the beanie? If the "signals" can penetrate your skull from the top, then surely it can from the bottom too.
