An Idea I Had For Recruiting New TA SETI Members...

I was wondering how we might get a bit more exposure outside of our Forums, and I came up with an idea. Kind of a dumb idea, but an idea nonetheless. 😉 I have a lot of eBay auctions that I run, why not put a banner in the auction that leads to one of our team member's sites and tell about TeAm AnandTech SETI, how to set it up, etc.? It might bring in a member or two. 🙂

I think I recall hearing somewhere that eBay does not like sites being advertised in their auctions, although that may only apply to commercial sites. I could also put it in my auction as "All Funds Gained From This Auction Go To Help TeAm AnandTech SETI." Which is true, since everything I am selling right now is going to help me upgrade my rig, which will crunch more WU's for the team. 😉 What do you think? 😀

That is going to be my current project. A site focused on recruiting, and getting new people up and running. 🙂
 
Hey, teriba, I glaned at your site before but didn't post any comments, I've just got a couple little suggestions:
- change the link colour to something that doesn't blend so well into the background, blue on blue is hard to read.
- maybe put something at the bottom for more advanced users that would contain a link to Sukhoi's help thread and I think it was serialb's Optimizing Seti guide.
 
Looks good, although I would still suggest a different link colour, something that really contrasts, such as yellow.
