i get that error when installaing the half life patch

i looked through DM and could not find any conflicts

specs

amd k6-2 450
128mb
voodoo 3 2000
windows 95 version 2, with all updates (winsock etc)

any ideas?
i'm getting cable installed soon and don't want to be told i'll have to wait till this problem is fixed


PS:this whole system will be replaced with an athlon an XP in a few weeks
