An eye for an eye punishment in Iran...literally

I generally don't support eye for an eye punishments. I feel as if it degrades the punisher's to same same pathetic level as the criminals.

Still, while I don't condone such punishment, I can't say he doesn't deserve it.

what is with all the acid attacks? I guess maybe I've never actually looked for sulfuric and other acids, because I've always imagined they aren't that easy to get a hold of. But it seems in South America and in the Middle East, acid attacks always happen and over the most retarded shit.
 
I love the idea of an eye for an eye both figuratively and literally. Let the punishment fit the crime. Animals who commit violent crimes don't deserve cable TV, weight rooms, conjugal visits and three meals a day. They deserve to feel what they did to their victims.

Maybe, but then there would be a lot less incentive to be taken alive.. everyone would go down shooting if they did something horrible.

I have no problem with that either. If they want to die rather than use my tax dollars keeping them in jail that's cool. But I think the thought of getting acid thrown in your face would be pretty good incentive not to throw acid in someone elses face. Rather than go out in a blaze of glory I think most would choose not to do the crime in the first place. But either way it's win-win because they damn well won't do it again.

Disfigure their wife so they won't be unfaithful? At least, that seems to be the motivation for this attack.

Also, you can get HCl at any hardware store (it's sold as muriatic acid). I think it's diluted some, but still very strong. And I guess sulphuric can be found in lead-acid batteries.
