While I have not problems with their menu, secret or not, I just find it hysterical that the media and government goes after McD's about their menu, but passes on places like In-and-Out.

Gonna hit Tommys tonight and get some Chili To Go and head to the In-N-Out directly across the street and see how a double double taste smothered in the worlds greatest Chili. I'll try it on In-N-Out's fries too.

Other than animal style, that was lame. There is anything secret you can order that isn't already available.

Whatever, none of these places know how to make a damn french fry. Best to just skip those entirely and stick with the burger.

In N Out is so close. They cut the potatoes fresh, but too thin. They also don't blanch and fry. They just dump them into oil directly at fry temp. If there's one place that has the potential to get it right, it's them, but they don't.

Damn it! now I'm craving Tommy's and the nearest one is about 300 miles away at Magic Mountain parkway.

Tommy's chili is amazing. The chili Tamale is straight up orgasmic.

The thing that impresses me most about In-n-Out burger is that they've never gotten my orders wrong, EVER.

Have you tried their fries well done?

It's not the same. I've made french fries and potato chips at home. If you don't blanch or at least let them soak in a little warm water first it just doesn't come out right. And at least with french fries you've gotta double fry them

They fed ex gallon tubs of Chili on dry ice, they might do smaller amounts I dunno. Last year I got a quart to go and put in on everything from my Nachos to in a grilled cheese. I can testify that ever single item I put it on became infinity more delicious.

I've never even seen an In-N-Out.

Probably because there's none near you at all. They have many outside Cali but are only in large cities.

Also I'm definitely not a fan of the fries at all. I love In-N-Out burgers but their fries aren't that good at all. Well done still doesn't taste that good. Getting them as cheese fries or animal style is a way to cover up how bland they are.

That was exactly my point - frying them until they're overdone on the outside doesn't make up for not double frying. I see you understand french fries.

Well In N Out doesn't have a burger with blue cheese for one. Also, Taylor's has garlic fries; I don't even like fries much, but i like the garlic fries. :awe:

KT

Edit: also, I do not dislike In N Out, it's good for fast food, but I just like a lot of other places more.

This. In-N-Out is great, but other places are better. Given the choice, I think I'd take Whataburger just over In-N-Out, Carl's Jr. 3rd, but Fatburger beats all.

oohh, forgot Burgerville up in the Portland area. Even better than fatburger.

Outside of Cali, it's only in the Phoenix area, St. George and Salt Lake City, UT, and Las Vegas and Reno, NV.
