Wait a minute, are you the jackass who sent DP his mobo/cpu/hsf package, all in the same mobo box? It's you wasn't it?

Face it, you tried to cut down on s/h fee, thus went out of your way to find the smallest box possible and expect USPS to treat it like glass. You SUCK at packing.

your packing sucks. I usually make things bomb resistant. Pack it ASSUMING theyre going to fvck it up, not assuming that they wont

That looks like you packaged it like crap. You can say you packaged it well as many times as you want, but the fact that the corner of the XBOX is basically sticking out the side of the package verifies that you suck at packaging items. The point of packing material is to protect the item because things WILL happen to your package in shipping. Stuff happened to your package, and your crappy packaging failed thus ruining the item.

Way to go, I hope USPS shoots down your claim.

okay maybe I could have packed it hella better and spend like 20 hrs making sure it wouldn't be harmed by a spec of dust. But I had to ship it twice and the first time it was returned the box was in good condition.

I stand by that I packaged it good. You guys are kinda buttholes, but whatever not all of us still goto the first grade huh?

while the fact that we are assholes may be true, it doesnt change the fact that you packaged poorly.

first grade? thats rich coming from someone who has the word POOP in their screen name.

I like this name thank you. Seriously that box made it one trip just fine. There was no rips in the box or anything when I reshipped it out. My gf's mom who worked for the post office told me they used to drop and kick items on purpose that were marked fragile.

you were lucky if it made it back fine the first time. face the fact that the packaging wasnt sufficient for something so heavy and expensive. if it was, it wouldnt have arrived damaged.

have you settled this with the buyer yet? if youre worth your salt as a trader, you have already given the buyer the option to return the xbox to you for a full refund, or a partial refund should he decide to keep it.

2. fragile is meaningless.

Double-box that shiz. Overboard or no, you should be able to drop your packages from a two-story building and have them be just fine. It's easy enough to come up with packing materials for free or cheap.

That box doesn't look much wider than the Xbox itself.

As a rule of thumb, you should have a box that is about 125% the size of the dimensions of the item you are selling... in any direction. If the item is 10 inches wide, your box should be at the bare minimum 12.5 inches.

I think it's safe to say that a few sheets of bubble wrap aren't going to save something from being destroyed.

You = packaging noob.

Your packaging sucks. I'm sorry, but a couple of layers of bubblewrap don't mean anything.

The first rule of packaging is that the item being shipped should not be able to move inside the box, AT ALL.

Um........that should have been the INNER box of another box that was stuffed with packing peanuts.

I nominate this for self-pwnage thread of 2005.

The first thing I offered was to return his money plus shipping to cover his expenses. He declined as long as we got this straighten out. I admit I could have done more to make sure it would be safe if they decided to play toss the the fragile marked package. Guess we all live and learn.

We've trouble shot the xbox and he's figured out how to get the dvd drive working. If he ever had any problems with the drive I will pay for a new one and have it shipped to his house.

 sounds like you two are on the right track.

Hey everybody, im the guy he sent it to.

We are both on very good terms and since everything has been fixed i am quite happy with it. In the case of the DVD-ROm drive running into problems i greatly appreciate his offer but hopefully it won't come to that.

Anyways, Give the guy a break...he did everything he could have done to fix the situation and he can only move on and ship things slightly better.

I'd give you at most a neutral.

Right address just forgot the apt# thank you.

Uhm, that means it wasn't the right address 😉 Good on you for keeping the communication open and finally admitting that you could have done a much better packing job.

Well, you're much more forgiving than many, so you can sleep well 😉 As for going easy on him, he didn't pack it well and it's important that he know that things will go easier later on if he realizes that.
