I'm sure we've got the same thing or something very similar now, but with better accuracy...

2,100 were produced. The weapon was deployed with U.S. Army forces from 1961 to 1971.
i am sure they have been dismantled, you wouldn't want terrorists getting one of these

I'm surprised terrorists didn't get a hold of some these. It would be quite the backback bomb.

Nope. We, the USA, used to have artillery shells that were nukes, but even them have been dismantled/removed from inventory.

The US's stance on battle changed when designers changed the definition of accuracy from 5 miles to 2 meters. You no longer needed to take out a city to take out a manufacturing plant. Tomahawk missiles (which were originally made to haul nukes) can now fling a warhead in a couple minutes to anywhere within 1000 miles of it's launcher. And a larger part of war has become PR. Killing 100,000 people just isn't good press anymore. It's easier to say "destroyed tanks" or "shot down planes".

Considering TLAMs are subsonic missiles, I doubt they can travel anywhere within a thousand miles in just a couple of minutes.
