Curve? I've had some profs who devised exams so devious, the average raw score was ~30%. The anxiety after taking them would nearly kill me, until the curve was revealed.

I doubt it for this one, the exam was relatively fair but I just hadn't prepared sufficiently.

Last semester, I took a class on State and Local Government.. It was a freshman/sophomore class (I was a senior) where the professor made it tougher than he needed to. He asked a lot of intricate questions.
Anyway, I picked the hottest girl in the class and sat by her for a while. Her and I started exchanging notes. I made copies for her for a day she missed.. Then she made copies for me for like 10 or 15 days I missed. I missed at least 1/3 of the days that semester. I think she missed like 3 days. She took really detailed notes. I only took detailed notes if she wasn't in class. Otherwise, I doodled. We talked some.. but not a lot. She was definitely one step above my league and her and I knew that and acted accordingly.
Final exam comes around and she has an A average and I have a low B average.. She studied a lot and I studied very little. I did the exam really fast expecting to get a B or C on it.. After I finished it, I felt totally worried because I didn't second guess sh1t.. I just did it. I answered everything like it was NOT a trick question.
I got a 96% and it was enough to pull my entire grade to an A. She got a B. It made me almost feel guilty seeing I put about 1/3 of the work into the class as she did.

 Econ majors are some of the most successful LSAT takers and law school applicants.
Here's some evidence.

Pre-law is one of the worst majors to go into law with, it's not a sufficiently broad education. You learn what you need to know for law in Law School, therefore pre-law is useless. 😉

I find that awesome in so many ways. These people chose pre-law so they could get into law school (or they just wanted to take some courses and graduate), and in the end they would have been better off doing art
