An ebay rant...

Well, not really a rant, but rather an annoyance. Why would you sell a used item and set reserve and buy it now prices to what that item is selling NEW. Even bigger question, why do some people bid on those items??? I simply ignore any item that has a high reserve price.

Sometimes the item is hard to find, people don't know where to get it cheaper, maybe the seller has very good feedback, maybe the seller has better shipping options, etc.

Sometimes I'll make my prices higher than other people and people will specifically say that they bought it from me because of my feedback.

because ebay bidders are stupid. I sold a violin on their for 300 and it was only worth about 200...

I was tryin to sell 150+ yr old violin on there [reserve what it was appraised at] and one guy wanted me to not sell it to him on ebay, but told me to ship it to him first so he could look at it, and if he liked it he would send me the money!

Some other lady said she would but it for less than the appraised value..

These people are nuts! Nuts I say!!
