While one could certainly appreciate a $50 discount, I have to ask where these things can actually be used at the moment?
 
"opt-out feature"? More like you have to opt-in in the first place.

pens and earrings as bank cards? Heh. People lose their wallets often enough. Now you lose a pen and you have to call your bank? Not me. 😛
 
When embedded in human bodies, RFID tags raise unique security concerns. First, because they broadcast their ID number, a thief could rig up his or her own device to intercept and then rebroadcast the signal to an ATM.

Second, sufficiently dedicated thieves may try to slice the tags out of their victims.

Just like people said no thanks to credit cards. Don't want the evil corps following your spending habits!

"They" can still "follow" you if you have an RFID chip in your credit card in your wallet, too. Does this mean you're against RFID? What if there were a technology that allowed you to enable or disable the chip so that you'd only "get scanned" when you want to be? What if it required a PIN code to be activated?

they never asked me to get the credit card injected.
under no circumstances would i allow this.
if it were required to do transactions, id leave the country or barter.
 
You'd only be required to use that if everyone else wanted to do things that way. That's like saying that you wouldn't want to use dollars. If others don't want it, it won't take off, duh. It's amazing how people think that capitalism is just another form of communism, just like they think that science is another religion.
