Well, after a little research, I've found most my problem at Roger Wilco known issues.

<< When I try and use Roger Wilco my computer crashes! (A blue screen of death!) >>

<< You most likely have an AMD processor and GeForce family graphics card. We're trying to track down this elusive bug that only seems to happen to AMD/GeForce systems running Detonator drivers greater than 6.5x. >>

That is exactly what happens on the AMD/GeForce system... It also happens in my AMD/G550 system... I get the feeling that they are related, because the react just about exactly the same way.

Doesn't completely excuse AMD/VIA... Intel systems still don't have this problem... just another incompatibility, and nothing I'm going to do anything about... time to stop pulling my hair out...

I don't know why the Gaming system reset, but I can speculate... And the one time during a game, isn't really that big of a deal... just a coinicidense....

Thanks everyone for the help...

At least you had the guts to admit it.

Your already leaps and bounds over a lot of the people here.

LOL!!!!!

Admitting that you have a problem is the first step...;)

Seriously though, I think that it's the game developers that have the problem here. AMD/VIA combinations don't have many SOFTWARE incompatibilties (at least none that I can think of riight off the top of my head). Sounds like poor programming to me.

No matter which way you cut it, it's just another one of those pleasant "AMD" issues.. :)

I`ve to agree with NFS4 on that ,I`m a hardcore gamer and never had any problems with AMD rigs in gaming, game companies have some sort of patch out for the game or video card rather then Intel or VIA specific chipset problem.

Spook I guess you got frustrated and saw VIA has the easy target and in the end no harm done apart from some minor flaming from other members ;).

And it doesn't seem like they've been doing much to "track down the bug" either. I mean, the drivers RIGHT AFTER the 6.xx series came out a LONG time ago...

I hate to put it this way... But in the end... EVERYTHING is made for the Intel, and AMD just has to be as compatible as possible..... There is still the 1%

AMD IS compatible. It's just that some developers are too lazy to adjust their programming to the the inherent differences in architectures/instruction sets between Pentium and Athlon processors.
