I don't really know any books like that, as I tend to read books in series. As a school teacher I also tend to find myself drawn to books that are geared towards children. I read all kinds of books though. In fact, I am currently reading "Bored of the Rings".

Yeah we all read at different tempos and for different amounts of time, so as long as the thread on the book isn't archived one can discuss at any time.
