An AMD64 3200+ OC'ed to 3,021GHz :)

Nice OC🙂

Insane volts🙁

I wouldn't run it like that very often, or very long. Even if your temps are okay that voltage will surely kill the CPU in short order

Yeah, these winnie's are overlocking like the old 1.6-1.8 northwoods, pump the volts in and the thing oc's like crazy but many of those northwoods died an early death...

what kind of cooling did u use? thats a great oc

oh btw, i dont think 1.76 is that high guys, hehe im using around the same as he is ^_^ got a athlon xp though

An Athlon XP defaults at what? 1.65v and doesnt have an onboard mem controller so even 1.85 wouldnt bother me.

Myself I would be scared to go over 1.65v on a A64.

Mine defaults on 1.3 i believe (mobile) ^_^

Carloboy: I use watercooling, a 240mm radiator, Eheim 1048 600 l/h pump, Swiftech MCW600064 CPU block and a AquagrATIx waterblock for my GPU. It's all 3/8"ID

AristoV300: It's not stable in much else than Windows, and it's basic programs, but I can run 3DMark at 2,9 and SuperPi at 2,8 (for the moment, still testing)
SuperPi 31sec

Excuse the english, Norwegian...

If any of you have a list of programs you want me to run with the max overclock, please post it. I could compare the stock speed against the max overclock, and calculate the differences in percent. If you could tell me where to download them too, it would make the job a bit easier 😀

test it with folding at home, as good a stress test as anything I've ever seen. (prime95 will run stable on machines that crash from flakey oc's using f@h) back it off until f@h is stable and you should be good.

arnosmith: with my XP120 on 1.55 volts I can post with a 3GHz cpu (3200+ running 300x10), however it's unstable.

my system rig is at my chiapet

There is a couple stickies up at the top in this forum by Zebo that will tell you how to test.

You want SuperPi, and Prime95 and to run those under you get as many hours stable as you want. I got 24hours and called it a day at my current 301.4 x 8.5 (2562GHz or 3762+)

Then you want to do memtest once you dial in your memory...if using a A8N-SLI you are going to run into problems with the BIOS dividers not working right, nor allowing aggressive timings (I can't do less than 2-3-3-5-1T at 232MHz when I should be able to get up to 270Mhz or so).

Anyway it's interesting to get a high CPU-z screen but until it tests out don't bank on it. My 6800GT OC hit 450/1300 at first but would freeze up in 3Dmark03 and only artifact in 05....I had to back it down to 400/1100 (stock ultra speeds)...I called it a day on that too. Anything faster than I am at now isn't going to do much unless its a huge jump.

This thread is decent (at times)....there are 50+ pages but a ton of good A8N-SLI info in it: HardwareAnalysis Thread
