I have not tried it yet since I don't have an S-Video plug on my TV. :(

But if you are trying and can't get it to work, it's most likely because the TV-Out option is set to "Disabled" by default in the BIOS. When you first turn on the notebook, push <F2> so that you enter the BIOS. You should then be able to find the setting to set TV-Out to "Enable." Then exit by saving changes and you should be all set.

If you are not comfortable with going into the BIOS, you might want to reference the user manual for a more detailed description of how to enable it.

Of course, I may be jumping the guy..maybe it works for you and you were just curious! heh heh

Regarding X-jack style versus dongle ethernet cards. I've been using both for years, and actually prefer the dongle. My buddies at work have broken two of the x-jack style when the cords got yanked. The dongle style just tend to fall out, and can be plugged back in easily.

Help!!! My i-4117's internal pointing device is not working.I got mine today but I was so disappointed because the pointing device is not working. I tried reinstalling the AlpsGlidePoint driver but it still didn't work. Everytime I start win98 a waring message box will pop up saying I don't have a serial/ps2 mouse installed. When I checked device manager/Alps Glide Point, it says this device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. What can I do? Call Fujitsu to get a replacement?

WOW, I didn't think they would ever sell out, since there seemed to be a serious lack of interest from the forums.

Maybe a lot of lurkers ordered some.

I could never lurk...way too vocal. :)

Hey garyl99:

Try pushing the Function Key (FN) and holding <F4>. That key sequence toggles the trackpad on and off. If that works, you'll know the pad does function, but you'll still need to check something else.

When you turn on the computer and see the Fujitsu Screen, keep pushing <F2> to enter the BIOS. Then, select "Advanced," then "Keyboard/Mouse Features" and for "Internal Pointing Device," make sure it is set for "Manual Setting" or "Always Enabled." If it is set at "Always Disabled," that's your problem. Make sure to "Exit Saving Changes."

If it is not disabled, you indeed have a defective trackpad and will need to call Fujitsu to have it serviced.

Good luck!

I know what you mean Tangman, I was REALLY hoping for this deal. If anyone decides they don't like theirs, I'd be more than willing to take it off their hands, with a nifty little profit. ;) Tiger
