GTA 5 has not been announced for PC yet.Apart from that Monitor,Video card should be your top priority. Also IIRC you can't oc on that board, if you are into oc you can think about that as well.

staying at 1440x900? no point in spending 400 bucks to play at that res. a plain gtx660 or even gtx650 ti boost 2gb is are the highest I would go with. I would certainly get more system ram though.

If you plan on keeping that monitor, get another 4 GB of RAM and a $250 video card and you'll be set for 2 years.

I'd get a new PSU with 2x PCI-E for $50-60, another 4GB of RAM for ~$40 and spend the rest on a graphics card like the Nvidia 760.

a plain 660 will give you 60fps or better average on ultra settings with SMAA at just 1440x900. in fact nearly all dips below 60fps in Crysis 3 will be because of your cpu.

Welcome to the AnandTech forums.

Since your question here is addressing other hardware components besides graphics, I will move your discussion to General Hardware, as you may receive a more thorough response on other aspects of your build.

Once you've gotten your initial questions answered, you are more than welcome to start a new thread here specific to video hardware.

Good luck...

no point in a 760 or 7870 for 1440x900. again just go with a plain 660.

and just keep it simple and buy a gpu for now. wait and upgrade your mobo when you get a cpu with new architecture.

30 fps? I just told you that you will get 60 fps on max settings and SMAA at 1440x900 with a plain 660. and if max image quailty is so important then you should not be playing on a tiny little screen and upgrade to a 1920x1080 monitor. even at 1080, a plain 660 can run the game at over 30 fps on max settings and SMAA.

so you want to just waste money? we have already told you a 660 is good for your res and to get more system ram. thats all you need if you want to stay at 1440x900. just because you have 400 bucks does not mean you need to spend it all.

are you sure it can reach 60 fps with gtx 660 at 1440x900 res?
LOOK at my sig. I get about 70-75 fps on max settings with SMAA at 1440 and my gpu is not always 100% utilized. a slightly slower 660 will easily get about 60 fps average.

You never mentioned what video card you have now (or none at all, using Intel video?)

The GTX 660 is a great performer and light on power, but you could get away with a Radeon 7770 for almost half the price since you're using such a low-res monitor.
Most games will still be smooth at max settings at that res.

...but 19" is painfully small to me now. ;) 24" for $150...
