Pretty much this. You know people signing up for a dating site are going to exaggerate/outright lie. You have a 90% chance of the person being fat regardless of what they picked. I would guess that ample/large/extra padding would be mostly obese people. Average would probably be overweight to near obese.

In a country where 1/3 of adults are obese and 2/3 are overweight, this sounds about right.

I think women are more prone to lie or over exaggerate than men. I don't know how many average women turn out to have a gut. Then again, if you get a girl that puts large/curvy/few extra pounds and is in good shape, then know she has low self esteem.
