amihotnaked.com

Wow, and as the owner of the site, you could gather extra information, such as address and phone number, that you wouldn't share with others on the site 🙂 I don't think RossWife would like that too much though!!!

Damnit. I hate idiots who register domains thinking people are going to pay them for it. If only I could find some way to beat the sh-t out of people over the internet, I'd be a zillionaire...

If you find a way to beat the crap out of someone online, I have a few suggestions.

Someone should buy that domain just so it can never be used for evil.

Yeah, I did that with Anandtech.org.... yet everyone thought I was an @sshat for doing it. I even offered it to Anand (the owner dude) like 5 times and never got a response.

Oh well.

I don't think you're an asshat for registering Anandtech.org but I don't think it was appropriate and was in good taste.

BTW Your Anandtech.org link in your sig is incorrect has double http in the beginning.

Ebay's "domains for sale" category is always good for some entertainment value.

Up until the last couple of years, I actually used to get a steady stream of people popping up and wanting to buy domain names that I had registered (never sold any, though), but that's really tapered off at this point. Nowadays, if someone decides they'd like one of your domain names, they just send you a "cease-and-desist" letter demanding that you immediately sign everything over to them without compensation or they'll sue you for 3.5 gazillion dollars (plus attorney's fees).

I run a fan site and wanted MVPBaseball.com. I was watching it for a while and it expired. Then I kept trying to register it but it would say not available. Finally, someone beat me to it and I'm sure they aren't going to develop it. EA holds the trademark and even if I convinced them to go after it, I don't know if they'd keep it or not. However, they have no objection to my site or anything, in fact they give us games and prizes to give away. I guess its free PR for them.

Another thing that pisses me off till no end is kevin.com/.net/.org. Com and Net are dead, only Org is used. The guy who owns the Org isn't even a real Kevin, hes one of those people who uses their middle name as their first...
