AMEX blue was too easy to get

I got and email about getting amex blue. With all the talk about it around here and in the Hot Deals forum I decided to apply. I went throught the registration process in like 2 minutes and clicked "submit" then in like 60 seconds or less it said I was approved and if I wanted a CC# right away I could by agreeing to some terms... i opted to get it in the mail. I was approved for a low introductory rate of 0.0% for the first 6 months then 10.99% thereafter. I was also approved for a limit of $14,100...WTF? Can i buy a car and when it goes down get the PM!!! The only thing I do not like about it is that the grace period is only 20 days compared to my MC at 30 days with the same rate.
Anyhow, i was suprised at the quickness of the approval. If I get like 100 more cards then i'll have an anandtech only party!!!!! I just need more social security numbers!!!

I cannot get ANY credit card whatsoever :| Even the stupid department ones because I have no credit. HOw the hell am I supposed to build credit if no one wants to give me a stupid department store card??? :|

Walk around a college campus and apply for a few cards. That's how I got my MBNA card 3.5 years ago. The fools. I now have a platinum card and a $15,000 limit with them (no, that's not a typo). Don't ask how I could ever pay that off while I'm still in school. I guess my credit is alright.

stop applying for a while and then use like a debit MC or Visa to apply for the store cards... that should work.

uhmm you might want to reconsider the amex blue card applying...seems they cancled their price matching policy
