Is it possible to purchase an item locally (say at best Buy) and then have AMEX Blue pricematch an online merchant? Has anyone ever done this? The reason I ask is...I'd hate to buy a BIG TICKET item (>$1000) and then have a problem and have to ship back, argue with the merchant, blah, blah, blah. Thanks for your help.

A friend of mine did. He just had to send them a link to the site, which had to clearly display the model number of the item purchased, then fax a copy of his receipt showing the same model number.
