i just took over the management of my dad's account and i am trying to remove a few stocks that are no longer traded from the portfolio listing, stocks like Enron... anyone have an idea on how i can do that?

Removal of worthless securities.

If it's not trading (which Enron isn't) you'll have to pay to have it flattened. It'll cost you about $50 to do it though...unless the CSR is nice and waives the fee. Can't remember the exact amount off the top of my head. It's a broker fee of $24.99 plus another $25'ish for the processing.

If you are looking to do it for tax purposes though for 2005 you more than likely missed your window. Requests to remove had to be in before Dec 24th to guarantee that they are processed before year end. Now it's a just a best efforts basis.
