Hey vahalla and nsf4 stop fighting. hehe. Vipers are rad and until i ride in one and discover they are uncomfortable, then I am going to deny the fact that they might not great. So i would go for a viper. Unless it is one of those old vettes, like the one chris rock had in rush hour, I think they are called stingrays(maybe, just a guess). Yea so I would take one of those instead of a viper. Those old vettes are awesome

Viper is the stuff people fantasize about (if i had that much money i'd get a lotus)...

If someoen was going to give me either car, i'd take the viper..Who wouldn't?...but i'ts not really a fair comparison with the huge price difference...Hell with the cost of the Viper i'd buy a Vette and an subaru or somethign to drive around in the winter...:)

I like the '92-95 Vipers. They had the coolest rims, and the side exhausts that Dodge eventually replaced. The newer five-spoke rims look really weak in comparison.

But a new Vette would be a nice daily driver.

right, a corvette as a daily driver. I hope to god you dont have any snow or ice where ever you live, cuz you will regret having any muscle/sports car in michigan in the winter. Its hard enough to control with FWD.

You're kidding right? I don't know where you live in MI, but there's little snow where I'm at.

In fact, I just saw an ealy 90's one today, and a Z28 SS.

I'd choose between the two cars based on their looks, because let's face it - either one of them is gonna be a helluva lot faster than my Chevy Lumina :p

For a newer car, I'd pick the Viper. Those things just look plain sweet.

However, I'm not sure I'd pick it over a late 70's/very early 80's Vette. My uncle has a pearl white '81 Vette that is one of the sweetest looking cars I've seen. Heck, I had him tow it all the way from Iowa to Ohio so I could drive it from my wedding ceremony to the reception :D

I like my 3000GT just fine... but if I had a choice I'd take the Ligenfelter (spelled wrong I'm sure) version of either of these cars... preferably the viper because there's just too many corvettes around here. :)

I'd do both (but use them differently).

Viper: put on driveway and never use it.

Corvette: drive everyday cuz I could actually sit in it for an hour and not fall into a coma :)

It seems the majority of folks here are on the Viper bandwagon, but I'm gonna have to go with the Vette.

The Corvette is America's sports car!

VIPER VIPER VIPER!!! I love that car even though I am only 16 and can't drive! The Vette is a muscle car, but for speed I don't think it will be fast enough... Viper is also a muscle car in some ways but I would say it is muscle and speed balanced. I love the Viper!!!

This ----> Link. Too bad they stopped making them. :(

Of the two you listed, I'd have to pick the Viper GTS.

America's best of all time: Ford Shelby Cobra with a 427 side oiler but between the choices given I'd pick the Viper.
