What are we doing now? 60% of everyone's income?

With tax brakes and such it is seems more like 30% for the poor and middle class and 10% for the rich.

I am thinking about a tax with no exemtions, no deducatable that starts out at 0.5% for 30,000 and under and goes to 60% for 90,000 and over. So someone who makes 50,000 might lose 20% of their income to tax, while someone who makes 25,000 is taxed 0% and someone who makes 100,000 might like 40% of their income to tax, and someone who makes 500,000 might lose close to 60% of their income to tax.

And once again, I ask you, do you want the state to not maximize its revenue? Because that is what will inevitably be the result of a 60% income tax.

Also, do you believe in world government? Because there are a lot of other places in the world with much lower taxes where a lot of these wealthy people would be moving.

Actually i think a global goverment is a great idea. A Global United World Goverment is what I think is something I hope mankind one day has, and a one that has socialist values as well. One where the richest make less than twice the amount as the poorest. A nation were everyone is equal. A nation were even the poorest of people have the best medical care, and their children have acess to top level education.

For I dipt into the future,
Far as human eye could see,
Saw the vision of the world,
And all the wonders that would be...
Heard the heavens fill with shouting,
And there rained a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies
Grappling in the central blue;
Till the war drum throbb'd no longer
And the battle-flags were furl'd
In the parliament of man,
The federation of the world

Awww, doesn't sound so bad...

....BARF!!

What is wrong with my vision and hope for the future.

There is a phrase that accurately describes your 'vision': sheer evil.

I'm sure there are plenty on these forums that secretly share your vision. And I know for a fact that there are politicians that secretly share your vision.

You want a world police state run by a gang of dictators. Gee, I wonder what could be wrong with that.

There won't be any gang of dictators. Sure we will have enforcers to squash those squash those who bring racism, who preach violence and such. Also people who teach religion to children don't belong in my vision of the future. Religious believers have no place in this world. The problem with to much democracy is some minority tends to wield to much power when we don't want them to, I am talking about racist and such.

Oh sorry, a world government not run by dictators but run by 'enforcers' to squash people who bring 'racism' and religion.

You are a Nut with a capital 'n.'

To give you credit though, to some extent you have one of the more valid arguments on these boards. Those who believe in any government must believe in a world government. The reason why is that if you believe that individuals need a third party to intervene in their affairs, governments need a third party to intervene in the affairs of governments all the way on up until you have a world government.

Your One World Govt cannot survive as a Draconian Fatherhood as you envision......NOT without serious military might to put down the immediate revolution that would follow.

I too have to agree that racism sucks, as does poverty and lots of other things that are commonplace. So long as people are greedy they will exist. The trick is to remove the rewards for being a butthole to your people.

In a perfect world, leaders would live as paupers and recieve no hope of ever recieving compensation after taking office. This would have to include recompense for speaking engagements, the "favors" in investing, insider information and the inevitable "buddy" investments that take place after leaving office. This would negate their lust for money, and we all know that $$=power to a degree.
