Charles Manson brought up those same things during his trial. He called it murder, and accused Nixon during Vietnam.

One doesn't murder animals. One destroys them.

American Soldiers dying.....................Taliban Soldiers dying

The end in this case justifies the means.

Even though I live out of country and have pretty much disassociated myself from the US, I still care about what happens in the US, to its residents and to its military. I don't choose to live there anymore but I still feel what the US represents is important to the world.

My original question was, "do you care" and perhaps it should have been "how" do you care. Do you lose sleep at night thinking about our soldiers in Afghanistan? Do you dream of or have nightmares about what they are going through at this very moment? Can you imagine the chaos, the terror, the surrealistic life they are experiencing?

For one, it is a surrealistic life that they signed for... they understand this.

For two, I do not sleep badly at night because I know they are doing their job... and doing their best at it.

For three, as a cake-eating civilian, I appreciate all that our troops are doing. I honor them, by continuing to not change my lifestyle... because it is out of their hands that I am given the rights to live like I do... but if the need arose I would lay my life beside theirs to ensure my little boy could have the opportunity to live as he wishes, without fear.
