Yet your link provides not even 1 instance of a public school actually teaching from this text.

Edit: The link to the NY paper names a single private school in Louisiana and some blogger "estimates" a much larger number based solely on the number of vouchers being used in the entire state.

That is from a textbook sold by "Accelerated Christian Education". It probably is sold to some of those awful Christianity focused private schools. They are an extreme minority among US schools.

Edit: These kinds of schools also exist in the U.K.

Take for example the "Christian Fellowship School" in Liverpool.

Following Christ and his teachings leads us to a particular view of the world. This in turn shapes the curriculum.

  • Geography and Science are transformed as we honour the Creator. We explore His intricate design and purpose for each inter-related aspect of creation.
  • History makes sense in acknowledging God's plans and timely interventions.
