If you live in a city surrunded by people like Patrick Bateman, you'd have clear understanding, I think.

One of the things that hooked me to dexter was because the narration was kind of like in this movie....obsessed.

Wow, I saw the movie, but didnt read the book. That's pretty creepy.

to give you an idea if you haven't read the book, before it was released the national organization for women tried to stop it from being published because it exemplified abuse against women and they had several other things to say about it i don't remember. the original publisher dropped the book, and penguin ended up taking it and publishing it. Now was not wrong, the book is, interesting to say the least.

I thought the book was somewhat difficult to get through. It's funny to listen to him talk about Huey Lewis for a couple of minutes in the movie. It's another thing entirely to sit through an entire chapter on the same subject. I need to read the book again, however. I know the movie so well that while reading the book, all I could envision was the scenes from the movie. Kind of ruins the imagination.

My favorite book. The movie doesn't really do it justice, although I think like many, I watched the movie first.
