The producers of the show are not in this to dole out money for the hell of it.
Needless to say, having a questionable history makes you a risk.
She did something stupid, she paid for it.

i fail to see how they woudl be doleing out money for the hell of it. it seem to me from what i have read that she was very talented. teh best of thoes who are left. if she can sing which is teh whole point of teh show. why crusify her for something that happened years ago. and why do you think what she did was stupid?? she needed money and this was a way to get money. if she didnt have a problim with it why should you or anyone else care about it?

Well, they cut it down to 32 finalists. This is the only reality show I have watched since the first Survivor. I can honestly say (based on what was shown) that those that were cut prior to this 32 had no business being in the 32 and would not have made it to next round...some were truly awful and others just weren't talented enough.

Think about it this way:

You sign a $1,000,000 contract for this woman.

Six months later nude pics surface (or other undesirables) & her career is hosed. Now you don't make any money off her.

This is not a charity, folks, and like it or not posing for nude pictures (ESPECIALLY fake kiddie porn) is not considered to be the same as flipping hamburgers.

There are hundreds of legitimate jobs that she could have taken to earn money, jobs that would not have endangered her future career.

That was stupid of her.

Besides I doubt flipping burger would have paid the same amount of cash in the short amount of time she probably needed it.

There are consequences for actions, and one of the consequences of what she did is that she is not suitable for high-profile PAID positions - She'd be an embarassment.

I have nothing against strippers, or models, etc., but it should be common sense to avoid such jobs if you want a career in the spotlight.

American Idol is not giving away money, they are looking for employees.

She failed the background check.

Get over it.

Yes it got her booted from a show on a network known to push the envelope when it comes to entertainment...I mean really when you think of quality shows on television...if there is such a thing...I doubt Fox comes to mind much....save for Simpsons...70's show...bernie mac....


She did this 4 years ago and its not like she is doing it now...IMO I don't see what the big dayum deal is....You guys act like she was a XXX star since she was 16.


And I just love all the talk on her about her being a whale and ugly...but hey to each their own...

She didn't get booted because of her singing talent.....she specifically got booted because she posed for nude pictures....

As for consequences like I said before there are people that have done far worst than her to get through college that are in more powerful positions...
 

Another thing is that the website she posed for was called 'Daddy's Little Girl' which implies underage porn. That basically leaves Fox no choice but to take her out.

I can't wait until my 4 grader asks,

"Mommy, why isn't Frenchie singing anymore? I liked her!"

You can appear fully clothed but with tied/dirty feet in a fetish film, and become a finalist on Joe Millionaire.

But you can't make fake child porn (with nudity) and be on American Idol.

That's what I was thinking. It was five years ago and she was 18....she more than likely was half the size she was now. (I saw several girls blow up like that during my college years)
