and that matters because?????? i dont watch teh showe. but if i did i c ouldent care less about what she did when she was in college. it dosent matter. just like i dont care if teh presedent smoked weed in college or fuked interns. as long as hes dooin his jopb and thinga are good now. im happy

The producers of the show are not in this to dole out money for the hell of it.

Needless to say, having a questionable history makes you a risk.

She did something stupid, she paid for it.

Again, I'll say that if you ever want to be in the public eye as an entertainer, politician, or whatever there is no reason to do this crap. You will pay for it in the end.

Yeah, my wife and I had a discussion about that. I told her she would do well but she wouldn't win because of her looks. She would probably end up as a career background singer for some pretty singer or some other role where she is not out in front. That is generally what happens with 'plus-sized' singers in the music biz.

I never watched the show (the Simpsons and Malcom are all I can stand on Fox) but I hope the booted contestant uses this publicity, ala Vanessa Williams, and does become a big star.

OMG! That's Frenchie! I didn't know she was on American Idol or that she's a really good singer. I was in school with her at Howard and knew her (mainly by reputation). I'm not going to repeat the rumors, but I'll tell what I personally observed. My freshman year, I was in an all male dorm. They set up a conference in the dorm where some ladies with different viewpoints came and expressed their views, mainly about sex. She was one of the ladies and burned my ears with her sexual openness. The least suprising thing that I just found out is that she was on a porn site.

It goes to show that the choices you make when you are young can come back and bite you. She's been having a lot of fun and living her life exactly how she wanted to. I'm sure she thought she would never want to be involved with anything where her past would be an issue. But you never know the future and if you might want to do something where having a "respectable" past is required. It really shouldn't matter since the winner is supposed to be picked by the public. If the public wants her, porn history and all, then they should let her continue. This just highlights that they're only pretending that America is picking. They give you a carefully selected group of 20 or so people and tell you to pick from them.
