What I think were the best performances tonight from top to bottom:

1 - Matt
2 - Danny
3 - Allison
4 - Adam
5 - Kris

Now I'm not saying that Adam wasn't good. But I don't like him. I don't like his facial expressions. I don't like his screaming. I don't like his heavy makeup. I don't like his theatrical smiles and winks onstage. He's not an amateur and if you do a little searching around you'll see that. He's just not somebody that I would ever want to listen to on Top 40 or Alternative or Country or whatever.

He's got a niche. It just so happens that the niche this year is Broadway.

I would like to see Allison or Kris win. But who I would like to see win doesn't mean anything because Adam is going to win.

At least we didn't have any utter trainwrecks tonight - I've been liking Kris more and more lately, but this week he's definitely the weakest, both vocally and emotionally. He's just too damn happy and "awww, shucks".

I thought that Danny had his best performance in weeks; Alison had a great vocal performance, but I agree with Simon that her personality doesn't come through week to week and it's losing her votes; Matt was good...not too much to say about him though; Adam put on a great show yet again - it's not like we have to worry about where he'll place any time soon though.

I think Matt was the weakest, but I thought they all did pretty well. Danny and Adam had great entrances for that era, and Allison looked the best she has all season.

Unlike most of you, I don't think Adam has it in the bag, yet. In my little part of the world, Adam has just as many haters as he does people who love him. I don't get it, but Danny is the one that everyone loves, and last night won't change that. I'll admit that I'm pulling for Allison, but I appear to be alone in that, which explains her constant bottom 3 showing.

i agree with the comments on adam. yes he has the best vocals, but every song her puts in some screaming and i just would never want to listen to a song like that. i have the same problem with allison. she sounds like a smoker and she is only 17. her voice is so raspy and rough that i would never want to purchase a song by her cause it just is not all that pleasant to listen to. i think that danny and kris are the 2 that i would not mind listening to on a regular basis.

I think that Danny's been monotonous for weeks, and he finally changed things up a bit this week. I think it was his best performance in weeks, and that it was by far the best performance of the night. I thought Matt's was pretty bad, and I actually didn't care for Adam's for the first time in several weeks. Maybe it's because I like the Michael Buble version of that song so much. What's funny is that Adam's entrance with this song was very similar to Michael Buble's entrance when I saw him in concert a few years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tud2XaOYCg.

Smokey Robinson week + previous week disagrees with that sentiment. He is indeed very theatrical and screamy, but he's put together some extremely spectacular renditions that are far more subdued than what most people expect of him.

I'll admit that I prefer is non-screamy tunes, but he's so controlled and more often than not, appropriate, when he tosses in the wailing. ..and I don't think anyone thinks of him as an amateur. It's quite obvious he's in a different league every night.

but I totally dug Allison last night. Always liked her, her voice is freaking fantastic, and thought that was her best performance. Don't care about her personality on stage one bit. Hell, she just turned 17! I hope it's her + Adam, but will likely be Adam + Danny.
