Adam is a good performer. He has absolutely no range, though. I really didn't like his ring of fire, and Mad World was only marginal. His stage performance is good though.

Scott did good last week, but aside from that I hated all of his performances except for his audition and one of his songs at Hollywood week.

Anoop did pretty good. Allison did awesome. Matt did awesome. Adam is God.

this, pretty much. I thought Scott did his best last week, and tonight, was actually pretty good. why? ...it seems like he needs to get off the piano or guitar, he just can't focus on his voice otherwise. Either way, his voice when he wasn't all pitchy and tone-def, was still too nasal and annoying.

I liked when he did Bruce Hornsby in the top 32 groups, but that's about the only performance of his that I dug. Really glad he's gone...now only Anoop is left to go. 🙂

LOL...no range? He's got a wider range than the next two guys combined. Not that that will win the contest for him, but he shouldn't have anything to worry about for at least another 2-3 weeks.

that female performer last night was awful. he voice was so screechy and pitchy. i almost muted it. titler or whatever her name was. that is embarrassing to me to come back to that show and sound that bad. there was a reason she did not win it.

Hey don't be dissing pickleher. She was at least better to look at than the shitty rapper.

Am I the only one who hates Adam Lambert? I just don't get what everybody is hearing from him. All of his songs sound like shit to me, but then the judges give him a standing ovation.

Of course, I don't really like anyone on the show this season. I'm glad the blind guy went home last night, he was horrid and awkward to watch. He could not take any criticism from the judges whatsoever, it was obvious he has been coddled his whole life.

Hahaha, I missed it last night, but reading through the comments in order made me feel the same suspense as if I were watching. lol

Good job guys. And thank goodness Scott is gone. I really hated him towards the end, although it would have felt just as good seeing Lil leave. Anoop has his moments, but I hope he doesn't end up winning.

Being an Adam-hater, its painful to say that (for the most part) I really loved Adam's Mad World. He couldn't have picked a better song for his girly falsetto voice, and couldn't have done a better job than he did last night.

Still rooting for Anoop. Love his abilities. Allison is the coolest, but I think her voice needs more maturing. I'm getting tired of her, Kris Allen, and Scott MacIntire.

i think anoop might have the best "voice" in this competition, but he isn't the best "performer". Adam, i personally don't like his style, but it is undeniable he is a great performer with a very good voice, very good control of his voice. danny is probably the guy who will come in 2nd in my opinion. in all honesty, i've felt for quite a while that the judges know, they will use the save on anoop.

I think I pretty much agree on all counts.

Adam hater? WTF, so I take it you don't like Freddie Mercury either?

Freddie Mercury and Adam in the same sentence is enough to turn a sane person suicidal! Adam has 3 different ranges in his voice...high, higher, and grab your balls and scream. It sounds like he sings through his nose and has no lows.

But he's a helluva performer with incredible vocal control and great interpretation. That's what the judges like. For me tho I'd generally rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard. Except when he sang Mad World that is. It was an absolutely great song for his high pitch yet unusually tempered screeching voice.

You have no clue what you are talking about. His voice is amazing and his range is INSANE! He goes from nice low notes to crazy high ones, like an opera singer. No lows? Are you kidding me? Did you see his Smokey Robinson song performance? That was enough to give me goosebumps.

He has no screeching in his voice whatsoever. Anyways everyone has their own opinion, yours just proves you have terrible taste and I'd hate to be in the car with you while you play your Ipod 😀

The ring of fire song is totally original and made very much his own. I honestly don't think the American audience is ready for such performances. Europeans do appriciate it though.

not a hater by any means, i just don't like his style of dress, the hair, the makeup or his style of singing. but i do appreciate that he is one of the top performers in the contest, and frankly, i have either him or danny winning it all. i think those two will be in the final 2, altho chris has been better lately and that kid that did the stevie wonder song, anyone that does a stevie wonder song and gets kudos from the judges has some talent.

well to be frank, he doesn't really have any "vocal" range. he sings mostly falsetto. what he does better than any other american idols performer ever is, smooth the change over from his real voice to his falsetto so well, no one hears the change. it's flat out amazing. i've done a lot of singing over the years and i've done a lot of falsetto singing, and the control he shows is phenomenal.

it must be stated tho, you can never get the kind of volume from your falsetto voice you can from your real voice, so if he ever had to sing without a some kind of amplification, he would be hard to hear.

another famous falsetto singer, michael jackson.

Opera singers know how to open their throat for a bigger sound with beautiful clean resonance, where he screams thru a straw.

That said, I didn't get to hear Ring of Fire before until now and this version by Lambert is better than Cash's original, no disrespect meant to the great Cash. I think the judges were so shocked, they clearly missed the boat on this one, except Randy, who was all over it and really loved it.

Well he is odd and he definetely is gay and a drag-queen, although I am sure that's not coming out yet because he wants to win first. Hey, Freddie Mercury was gay too, that didn't stop him from making some of the best and memorable music ever?

As for his look, I am not gay, but I will say that he is handsome and his style is awesome.

very true. however i would have rather have not listened to either of those performance last night. i was especially annoyed during the "flo rida" performance to the girl who was signing cause all she did was dance like a idiot and then sing a line here and there.

All anybody has to do is search for his name on Youtube. They can quickly figure things out for themselves. So I don't think it's a matter of it "not coming out yet", just a matter of Adam not really caring, which is a good attitude to have.

Simon says that there's one they would consider saving this week.

I just don't get it. We're down to 8 people (well, 7 now), so it's obvious that none of them suck. However, I think that Anoop, Scott, and Lil are the definite bottom three for me. Why would the judges consider saving them? Which of the other 5 contestants deserve to go home more than those 3?

Holy Crap! Are those the best performances and the top "singers" on the charts right now? What the hell was the Flo Rida thing?? I could not understand 1 single thing the dude said except the chorus, and then that crazy female singing with the rapper...dang, she was horrible! The dancers looked like something you'd see at a strip club.
And Pickler? Yikes! She sounded awful....at least she looks good I guess.

The top 5 were right on. They should have just kicked all 3 out of the bottom 3 this week and saved us 2 weeks.

Anoop is stuck between what he wants to do and what he is actually good at doing. He's great at singing slower ballads and that sort of thing. But he wants to be a r&b / boyband star so bad, but he's just akward at it and lacks the charisma to do it.

Don't know why the judges are all over Allison to act more like a giddy child. She seem professional and a bit shy, but by them saying she needs to talk more is just going to make her more self-conscious about it and more nervous.

I'd like to believe people deserve more credit than that.

I think his stage presence sucks, but I'm still hoping he finds the right song and performance to get off the bottom rung.

Clay Aiken didn't win. That year was totally rigged. Maybe the gay thing hurt also but sometimes I think American Idol is quite rigged. Archuleta > Cook anyday also.

Anoop is a good singer but like the comments above said, he presents himself poorly. The fact that he's Indian also makes him an un-popular choice because many people are still racist. It's cool that he's in the top 10, and I'm sure this whole thing was a great experience for him, he def made some cash to pay off those college loans, that's for sure.
