According to dial idol, lil Rounds and Scott are way in the lead. Jorge is battling it out with 2 other guys (Nathanial and Junot) for the third spot.

Lil Round definitely had the best overall package tonight. The women had better performances, between Felicia, Kendall and Lil Round. Scott did well, as did Jorge...Ju'not has the benefit of singing a modern and recognizable song.

I swear that Kendall is Anna Faris's sister...

they are ripping song choice again...but the songs are chosen for them.

Actually, there's a LONG list of songs provided that's available for them to sing. The contestants actually pick their own songs from that list.

Actually its a short list, they pick 3 and the producers pick the song.

I could swear it's a different process than from the way it is after the finalists are chosen.

Jason Yaeger(Top 24 from last season) has a vlog on you-tube and thats where the info comes from.

Last night Randy asked Nathaniel why he chose that song and he said because he and his mother used to dance to it and so it had special meaning to him. That sure sounds like the contestants are picking their own songs. :shrug;

Not only that, but they are publicly criticized for song choice. If the show was picking the songs for them, then why would they always rag song choices? The contestants at least have some say in the process.

I thought the only current criteria for their song was that it had to be a #1 hit within its category? I thought I remembered Ryan saying something about that during the first 12...I dunno.

Either way, most of the song choices still suck.

I don't see many "blow you away" type performances this week...or this season necessarily. There are way more guys that are decent this year than girls. What happens if they end up with 6 guys and 3 girls (which is likely to happen), will the judges put through more girls?

I say Lil, Scott, and Jorge will make it. I'd like to see Felicia make it though....wild card per chance? If that weird gay guy with the cow ring in his nose makes it, I'm going to vomit. I'd much rather have Norman Gentle in the finals than that dude.

i'm thinking Norman might get a wild card.

Whay can't those four losers take a boat trip 100 miles offshore, in a 15 foot boat, with no life jackets while in the middle of a hurricane and 1000000 bull sharks.

I didn't like Felicia - I thought it was a disaster. Am I hearing things?!

I say Scott, Lil and I thought Von and Jorge would battle it out for third, but looks like dialidol is proving me wrong.

The real disaster was the girl who butchered ABBA. I was grinding my teeth throughout her dismal interpretation. That was absolutely horrible. Guantanamo torture. Girl can sing but she really missed the boat there.

That was bad. Just the title of the song even made me laugh.

But I couldn't understand the heaps of praise on Felicia, other than the judges wanting to prove that they were right in picking this girl to replace Joanna.

Looking at the way Simon was moving around in his seat and the looks on his face while the other judges were talking, it appeared to me he didn't want her to be there. He really didn't say much about her performance either.

Anybody else think Scott MacIntyre (the blind guy who performs tonight) is a definite for the final 3?

Yeah. If anything he'll make it pretty far just on the sympathy vote (if his piano playing is any good it will help him by a mile).
