Apart from possibly attracting more viewers, I have no idea why the AI management thought Mariah Carey would make a good tutor for the American Idol wannabes. Her songs are a bad fit for this group, she did not help them much and she came across as a real stuckup diva bitch. At least she looks good except for her floaters. Taller than I thought she was though.
 
The sole reason to watch this show with my girlfriend was kicked off. Crap. Syesha and Brooke are pretty cute too, but Kristy was teh hawtness.

David and David... Archuleta wins, Cook actually succeeds in the industry, imo.
 
Yeah, KLC was definitely nice to look at...I can't wait to see some paparazzi shots of her on the beach or something 😀 (yeah yeah, don't encourage them)

I still can't believe that Syeesha's (sp?) still on the show. I'm really looking forward to Andrew Lloyd Webber week next week...it'll be interesting to see what some of them do.
 
I've liked Cook since he did 'so happy together' way back when. Pulling for Carly on the fem side. Archuletta needs to get stuffed like a teddy bear like that nutcase does to people on NipTuck.
 
Seriously, as i rethink it, i would not have been unhappy at all if KLC had won it all, overall i'd say she has as much talent and star power and looks as any of the other 7 contestants.

Mariah was actually pretty nice to them I thought. And I don't like Mariah Carey at all.

It was good to have her songs on the show b/c it showed how weak some of the contestants are, especially Brooke.

And anyone who likes David Cook has tin ears. He is sour half the time. He is all fluff and trends. Again, if this show had anything to do with music at all, most of these contestants would have not made it this far.
 
Glad to see Elliot Yamin there. Did anyone else sense that American Idol didn't want Elliot to mention his mother but he did so anyway?

No. If that was the case, Ryan would have just rushed him off the stage. Instead, he explained that she had died, & offered his condolences. Just what were you expecting?

The first and last songs of the broadcasts were the only ones that didn't make my ears bleed. Cook was his usual self and Syesha was good.

Those were the weakest. I would still not be surprised if Smithson went home either.
 
I can't believe Brooke stopped and restarted. no one has ever dared to do that... and she admitted it was because she got lost in the song.

I did not like David A's version of "Think of Me." It had a little potential sped up, but he didn't go fast enough. I need to play the Phantom soundtrack at top volume to get the thought out of my head!!

I agree! Castro, Brooke & Smithson should be the bottom 3, with Brooke finally going home. Will she make me wrong 2 weeks in a row?
