Another gun related reality TV show, similar to Sons of Guns. This time it's about a shop called Gunsmoke in Colorado.

They have a retail shop and also build custom guns and gunsmithing, but this place seems to be more about "normal" guns with maybe a leaning towards lever actions and revolvers (Old West) type stuff.

None of the family members seems all that likable so I'm not sure it's one to keep watching. Only 1 episode so far so we'll see.
 
I like Sons of Guns because the guys on there are entertaining and the guns they build are pretty awesome.

American Guns was just boring.

Didn't watch it, but it has to be better than Sons of Guns. That show is terrible. Nevermind it is completely made up B/S with horrible acting.
My favorite was the little lady bringing in her Desert Eagle 50AE wanting to tame it down a bit. The slut, er daughter said she's always wanted to shoot one, and thye go to the range. The show her pick it up, then a slight cut to her holding it down range, and she's now holding a Beretta 92FS and shoots it. In recoil you see the whole thing and it's a 9mm Beretta. She then puts it down and says, yeah, that kicks a lot.

Nevermind the crap they build adding shoulder stocks to pistols, SBRing rifles and modifying and manufacturing Full Auto weapons. I've never heard them mention anything about NFA paper work or Tax Stamps, or that they can't manufacture or modify a semi into an full auto and sell it to a civilian.

Remember when Discovery had informative science and educational programming? Now it's just people with boring jobs acting all "drama" for the camera. 😛

they talk about quite often. even have little onscreen text defining terms like NFA etc.

Really? They talk about NFA paperwork all the time. Not that I dont agree with most of the other complaints here.. I watch it, but just b/c its something to watch that isn't complete trash
 
i don't think 'sons of guns' ever modified a semi auto to full for a civilian...all the fullauto guns for civvies were either preban stuff or in one case i remember them saying something about them bringing it to events for the customer, implying they would get around that issue by keeping it registered to the shop.

not that that show doesn't suck. but this new one seems to basically be that plus pawn stars and some random chicks. i lol'd at the one in the tank top with the horrible fake tits. there appeared to be some others around, too.

I think they have.. or at least something along the lines. I've heard them say they can build stuff for people if they really want it, but basically they have to come to Red Jacket to use it and can't take it back home with them.

But really do you expect them to spew out every little detail/law in each episode? People just want to see some drama, guns being built, and shit being blown up. They don't want a lecture.

You have never said anything on this forum that wasn't specifically intended to incite a response from people.

I am sick of Discovery/History/etc. transitioning to this all reality show format. I haven't seen Adolf Hitler on my TV during prime time in I don't know how long, and this needs to change. It also used to be that I could turn on the tv at any time and find something about space or physics to watch, now, not so much. Pawn Stars is the only reality storefront show that is remotely educational.

Yup, I remember watching National Geographic growing up with my family. I can't remember if it was on Discovery channel but I know we got it on our only channel from our antenna.

Back in my day...TLC had educational shows too, before Toddlers in Tiaras. 😉

All the science stuff has been pushed to Discovery World HD, so thankfully it's still there. Sadly, reality tv is cheaper to produce and attracts the masses more than docs do.

i'm just clinging to some desperate hope that she has a strapless pushup bra on and some doctor didn't actually do that to her. rest of her looks cute.
 
probably just age related sag cinched up with the bra. considering the age of her kids and she still has a flat stomach... not that bad.
