I thought the giant board-track sized wheels on the PJD bike looked bizarre, and there were just too many rivets for it to look like a cohesive design, but I admire the craftsmanship and the overall aesthetic. It is a legitimate observation (as JJ said) that it's not a practical riding tool, but for purposes of this competition I thought it was very impressive and deserved to win rather handily.
The JJ bike looked like a well-made but completely ordinary, straightforward chopper. I think it's impressive he worked with stainless steel, but that adds nothing much to the aesthetics of the bike. I don't care for that combination of a super low seat and ultra-high bars he uses, so as he rides he has to try to look to one side of the springer front end, which is directly in front of him. I know he's going for a look, but the look he achieved is one I consider stupid.
The OCC thing was interesting but it isn't a bike and deserved to come in a distant third.
