Border patrol attacked? Ignore it. US Citizens killed in a US lake? Ignore it. Mexican military violating our airspace? Ignore it.



MEXICO CITY (AP) — A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent was killed and another wounded while driving through northern Mexico Tuesday, in a rare attack on American officials in this country which is fighting powerful drug cartels.

What do you expect from an administration that's basically given up on enforcing the border?

Hell... they've come out and publicly stated that they are not interested in deporting illegals. They've sued states for trying to do the job that the feds won't. They've done just about everything except for their constitutionally mandated duty of securing the border.

Nothing new here.

Who can keep track of with all the sock puppets that have showed up since Obummer took office? They all seem to say that the "border" issue is new and that things were chugging along just fine until November 2008, save a scant handful of honest regulars.

The violence has spun out of control. They are openly killing US agents. If you are going to cover your eyes and ears because your team is in office, then so be it.

Pretending the issue doesnt exist because of your perceived lack of attention to it before does not solve it.

They do? I don't think I have ever seen anyone say that the border problems started when "Obummer" took office, just that he has done nothing to help improve it, if not make it worse.

My team? LMAO. Look back at who did or didn't vote for the clown in office. I simply don't try and pretend it's the new guys fault like the vast majority of nuthuggers here. Oh, and see edit for where the border is and isn't located, that's what the rollseyes was for. This story has zero to do with our borders.

So your plan of action would be to continue current policy, no matter how many US citizens are killed, and no matter how many times our borders are encroached?

Why do we need to assign fault? Why not just attempt to fix it? I am only throwing Obama in to this because of thesmall detail that he is the current sitting president.

I'm 1000+ miles away. The border I live near is the Detroit/Windsor border. We don't have these problems with our brothers to the north. Whatever your solution is I'll be all for it if it works and we can pay for it. I have a strong suspicion that no matter who the sitting president is nothing meaningful will ever be done in regards to this.

Where do the drug criminals get the billions of dollars they have for this violence? From which country do the funds flow to pay this criminal industry dominating Mexico?

How practical are these 'solutions' that are mostly racism and xenophobia going to be while billions are funding the criminals to have armed forces?
 
I've said for years that if we really wanted to improve US security, and prosperity WHILE increasing quality of life for an oppressed country, we should have launched our nation building project in Mexico instead of Iraq.
 
Mexico is not oppressed. It's a right wing paradise. About 20 families control all wealth, another 5% works for them as managers, heavies and servants the "middle class" mostly all white and the rest in poverty, misery and destitution with little in the way of redistribution..

Start actually fining, and imprisoning business owners that hire illegals would be a great start. If you want to slow the violent drug cartels roll than makes their primary sources of income legal. The benefits from both of these would be immediate, and drastic.
