Flash your service ID and you'll get served any alcohol you want. The OP doesn't know that because they aren't in the service, probably because they are 12, thus making the argument crap.

Ummm, unless something has changed, that's not true. Being in the military does not lower your drinking age. As of 1999 when I got out, the drinking age at military posts and bases was 21.

I think it's a valid question, though he may have couched it in an inflammatory way.

After the Viet Nam war, some states lowered their drinking law to 18 but kicked it back up to 21. I heard someone say on TV that when 18 year olds can drink people two or three years younger than that drink too.

Try off the base, where you run into what you call "civies." I have never seen an under age military ID refused at a bar, yes I have seen it plenty of times (friends and family in the military). Does it mean you can drink legally? No. Does it mean you can get alcohol EASY? Yes.

That statement is true whether you're in the military or not.

Troll bait. OP, if this is how you want to start off, you're not going to enjoy your time in OT. This crap needs to be taken to P&N.
Nah.. we don't need this crap in there either..

Yes, actually it is... It's just easier with a military ID, esp. in a bar. The easier it is to get, the less a point the OP has.
