I just had a really freaky moment. If you told this to someone 5-6 years ago you would be branded a loony.
If you had asked someone 5-6 years ago which had a greater chance, electing A BLACK MAN NAMED BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA AS PRESIDENT, or the collapse of the financial banking system, clearly you would have picked the collapse of the financial system.
While it has taken the worst President, perhaps in US history, an unecessary war, a criminally mismanged economy, the sacrifice of New Orleans, an administration that was the most divisive since the Civil War, and the exodus of over half our manufacturing overseas, it STILL quite something.
Win or lose, the very fact there is a good chance that we will elect A BLACK MAN NAMED BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA AS PRESIDENT is, shocking.
Perhaps there is really hope for America.
