The 1900+ XP already competes VERY well with the 2.2GHz Northwood. The 2000+ XP will bring the two so close as to be negliglible. That leaves the usual -- price and mainboard. I think we know who has the advantage in both categories 😀
I'm not particularly convinced, first of all, that "all kinds" of people are hitting 2.9GHz with the 2.2GHz Northwood. Some, perhaps. I think 2.4 or 2.5 is more reasonable, and at that speed, Northwood will still (at best) hold only a slight performance advantage.
