amd's 8450 tested

It's 8350 and the "tester" is a Chinese guy who had 3.3Ghz ES and OCed it to "simulate" real FX8350... So even though the end results may be similar to what is shown in the "test", I wouldn't pay much attention to the blog above.

AMD themselves said that PD FX will be 10-15% faster than previous FX so I don't know what the heck that guy is rambling about. PD was never about IPC improvements,it was about power and clock improvements with ironing out some of the quirks in the design.

PS The "blogger" says it's a piece of crap that will sell for 200$ USD while 1 sentence before that he says it competes good with 2600K which is arguably the best desktop CPU on the market now(considering price/perf./OC/power draw). 2600K is MUCH more pricier than projected price for FX8350.

Clearly competing in one area is not competing at all so saying it's a piece of crap is definitely the case. U can polish a turd all you want, it's still a turd.

ORB.... no thanks.

Rather see if anything showed up on Chiphell or the like, not really too trusting of ORB.
He's been wrong to often, or claimed things that where wrong, or lied/made things up.
That happends when your getting page hits off of rumors, and the more juicy the better.
