when will amd64 chips with e revision come out? and on what speeds will it come on? will it be available on the 3200+ or 3000+?

they're already out, and more out coming out. the 90nm 3000+ and 3200+ has been out for a couple weeks already, called the winchester. they oc extremely well too.

could he be talking about the sse instructions... if im not mistaken i believe amd is planning on making some changes around the 1st quarter of 05...

Is SSE3 the reason the P4 handles DivX encoding much faster than the A64? Or is it the Hyperthreading of the P4?

correct. i am talking about the 90nm a64's that will come with sse3 instructions along with other improvements. from the looks of it, it seems like its only going to be on the 4000+ and >. do you think they will release a e revision on the 3200+ or 3400+ chips?

i think the only improvements will be sse3 and some tweaking of shared ram when using onboard video solutions. i wouldnt be too excited about this.
