I just bought a S754 A64 3200+ from a fellow member.; it has the clawhammer core.

what should i expect OC-wise?

To put into prespective i currently have an E6 revision Sempron 2600+ OC'd to 2.0GHz (8x 250Mhz, stock voltage; 4x HTT), so if i cant get anything out of it; then oh well no speed loss; but i will be going from a 128K L2 to a 1 meg L2!!! and that was the motivation to upgrade.

TIA

So, the processor turned out to be a CG stepping.

I am able to get up to 2.2 Ghz; with a 1.7% increase in voltage. I dont what is acceptable as far as temps and voltages for Clawhammers. maybe some help with that please?

Current OC:
220x10; 1.55v; 4x HTT; 1:1 divider. idle temp ~37; load temp ~54.

How much more can i push it?

TIA

My 3100 Sempron Paris with CG runs 2.43GHz at 1.48Vcore on an ECS NF4 754. This board boots and is stable up to 289MHz FSB. There's a BIOS glitch preventing boot above 289.

I have a Biostar NF3-250Gb mb; that board maxes out at 250 MHz and i had the previous chip (a Sempron 2600+) up to 250x8, stock voltage, 4x HTT. This chip just does not want to go past 2.2, I keep getting a 'MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR' or something like that.

Sounds like you have a DUD chip. You should be able to push the FSB beyond 250MHz with Clockgen with a decent CPU.

No, the max FSB option i have available on the mb is 250. so its a mb limit, but right now i have only 220 of that 250.

Ran a divider to get up to 2.3 but that caused the CPU temps to hit 60 and the voltage was getting really close to 1.7... My main question i suppose is what is a safe temp/voltage combo for a Clawhammer?
