I recently purchased a system from an OEM with above combo. I have had recurrent system crashes and was told it may have to do with the boards overclocking feature. I have not overclocked this system yet had significant stability issues. Was told by OEM that should not worry about Vcore setting (1.55.. V) and that temps under 60 centigrade are acceptable. Any advice on above would be appreciated.

It should be stable. I think there's a BIOS setting that automatically OC's slightly. Disable it.

Run memtest86 for at least as long as you'd expect the computer to take to crash: Memtest86.com

I ran Memtest 86 for 40= cycles without any reported errors. The system hangs up on games and will then reboot spontaneously. This occurs most commonly upon switching between games. Any other suggestions?

What vid card and what power supply do you have?

Try running prime 95 tourture test. This doesn't use the vid card much. If prime is ok it is your vid card or to small of a power supply to supply the vid card and everything else.

Just my $.02

I upgraded my nvidia drivers and also upgraded to SP2 and reloaded my chipset drivers and since the above have experienced nearly flawless performance except for an occasional freeze while playing call of duty. Not sure what the specific problem was as 3 variables were adjusted in relatively the same time period.
