AMD64 and Far Cry

That sounds awesome. It will be even nicer with a 64 bit OS tho eh 🙂 . I wonder what kind of performance advantages will be gained. Will be nice to see when it comes out. Thanks.

Oh cool. I didn't like FarCry too much at first, but it is growing on me. And, it is a beast on the hardware.

If you buy the retail version of Farcry, they dedicate a full page section in the manual to the AMD 64 that contains basically the same info as this link. They don't specify whether or not this upgrade will be free for current owners of the 32 bit version. Still cool that they are already working on the 64 bit version.

Actualy the 64Bit version has been in the works for quite a while, Crytek along with Epic have been working closely with AMD in creating 64 bit games. Both companies demoed thier respective games at the A64 launch last September (im not sure if they were in 64bit mode or not). Expect 64 bitness to ensue as soon as WinXP 64 is released.

You beat me to it, ATis wonderful driver team strikes again.

So whats more important now? 64 bit or PS2.0 @ 50fps 😉

Or both PS2.0 and 64bit with a 6800 😉
