It kind of reminds me of the OLD DAYS when you could run AMD or Intel on your board with out worries, When AMD CPU's used to run fine on Intel Chipsets.

Yeah, but it's still a dream come true for many people. We have not had this kind of flexibilty since the days of socket 5 and 7. I sure hope nVIDIA comes out with a unified chipset one day, just imagine throwing a swtich on the front panel of your PC and changeing between processors for differant tasks! One for games and the other for DV and MP3. (after a reboot of course)

I just got thinking about it, this kind of solution could make the ultimate AMD platform; When AMD comes out with their new socket for what ever chip it is that needs it, all that one might have to do is simply pop in a new card with the appropriate socket attached and BAM instant and cheap upgrade to hold you over for a while.
