Nope. As a matter of fact, I've heard rumors that the Santa Clara giveaway may be the target of civil disturbances, natural and unnatural disasters including but not limited to:
*earthquakes
*Total Eclipses of the mind and/or heart
*Mass Alien Abductions
*that nasty headache you get from eating ice cream too fast,
or
*halitosis.

Best to Stay home and not risk it

No. 6-8am is supposed to be the time of the drawing. You need to get there before 6am to get a ticket....I think.

Winning Online: Independent judges will select in a random drawing on or about January 14, 2002, one hundred fifty (150) Prize winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the entry deadline for that drawing.


Winning at an Event: A random drawing will be held at the end of each Event by AMD Event Managers from among all eligible entries received during that Event. Event entrants must be present to enter and win. If potential winner is not present at time of drawing, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The decisions of the AMD Event Managers are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to the Event drawing and awarding of Prizes.

I don't think I'll go to this one. I went to Sunnyvale and didn't win, and there were a ton of people so, I'm not enthusiastic about 1 single event that should bring people from everywhere. It'll be a mad house I bet.
