All current variants of the X2 processor will be available from Monarch Computer (www.monarchcomputer.com ) on June 16. Order queue, first-come, first serve.

Unit prices

X2 4800+ $999
X2 4600+ $822
X2 4400+ $619
X2 4200+ $579

Seems as if AMD is beating Intel to the dual-core retail market. Not surprising since Intel dual-core needs a new motherboard, DDR2, beefier power-supply and better-cooling. Lots of suitable Socket 939 boards to drop the X2 into as a replacement, provided the manufacturers don't fall asleep before they provide the necessary updated BIOSes. 😀

Dude, for a first time poster, yours is like the fourth thread about monarch pre-orders. Do a search or scroll down the threads before posting.

Also, ZZF already has the Intel dual-cores in stock, thus you're wrong.

i love threads to do with X2 i'll read all of them,i cant wait till they come out .. i remember they were going to be slated for sept onwards, not now since AMD doesn't want Intel to hog the dual core market .. 😀 you have to love the competition its so good for the end user

It means he is posting for the first time and that he is able to count to four.....

I can't leave it at that...sry...he is being sarcastic...other people have posted basically the same information 4 times and he is showing his lack of control (as I did in above mentioned remark) in regards to Capt Caverman posting....

Most people when they see a repeat thread usually give a gentle reminder to the poster to do a search before you post...

Ohhh, thats my birthday !!! Who wants to buy me one ????

Don't expect to see the chips in retail for another two months after that tho.
