I have both of X2 3800 to X2 4200, their stock heatsink is Alu.

Is your stock X2 4400 heatsink copper make? Please tell me your temperature in idle and full throttle.

Thanks

I'm using the stock heatsink with my 4200+. I am overclocked to 2.618ghz 1.475v. Get to 51c under heavy load, idles in the mid to upper 30's. The 4200+ to 4800+ all use the same heatsink.

Thanks, but I need info about X2 4400. You have the same proc as me. But I use aftermarket heatsink, idle is 32 oC and throttle max 42 oC. Never using stock...LOL

One thing is that someone tells me if you buy X2 4400, they have copper heatsink in their retail package. Is it right?

The 4400+ has the exact same heatsink as the 4200+, as do the 4600 and 4800+...the only differance between the 4200+ and 4400+ is the cahce, the get about the same temps from everything I have seen.

Nice systems.

Please tell me more about your P-D830. Is it good compared to our X2 4200? I have many issues with Nforce4 from A8N-SLI Premium to A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I run but I'm not happy for what I pay for. I try to think about pentium D. Nobody has both. It's great that you have it. THanks

My Pentium-D is horrible. It's slower at everything than the X2 even when the X2 is at stock speeds, in non-smp apps it's slower than my single core P4's, and slower than my pentium-M @2.4 in a lot of things as well. I had to water cool it to get the temps down to reasonable levels, it was throttling with stock cooling. My overclocked X2 on the stock heatinsk is running at 51c. My pentium-D was running at 80c on stock, ran at 71c with a better heatsink, and is now down to 47c water cooled.

No, not really. It's an aluminium heatsink with copper heatpipes, which may have been what they meant.

Alu with Cu heat pipes and a Cu base.

incorrect. my 4400+ had a copper heatsink (base and pipes) with aluminum fins

my 4800+ had the same thing, but it was slightly dfferent from the 4400+...the fan had less blades and more pitch, i assume to increase pressure. the fins also seemed a tad bigger...but i forget...

edit: not sure of temps since i never used them :p

My 4400+ is aluminum, I believe. On one side it has 4 copper heat pipes.

IDLE: 26C
LOAD: 38C
