My friend told me that there is aare 2 diffmodels of 4400s. 89w and 110w. How do I tell the difference between then and to tell which on I have. I believe I have the 89 but I am not sure. Thanks.
Was thinking of getting this CPU myself....If you could post some OC results as you get them, that would be awesome. Now if I just had the Ultra-D board...
i dont have the time or need to oc right now. i need to wait till school slows down and the weather cools off then ill mess with things so i wont have reaults for a while sorry.
The 89W (ADV) clock real well with no or very little vcore increase. Mine does 3.1ghz but havnt prime95 test it at this speed w/ 1.5v vcore because I am using stock HSF right now and dont want it get too hot. I did SPI 32M @ 2.95 ghz with no hitch. Check the thread below on this ADV 4400 x2's and see for yourself a lol of those members are clocking it very well. Just make sure to buy latest stepping that seams better than older (610 and above) Newegg is selling the latest stepping. I suggest buy it there or any etailer/retailer that is reputable or give you the stepping if asked. http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=473441
my 89W 4400+ will do 2.8ghz at 1.37v. I think i have a bit more room at that voltage too, but i haven't tried yet. That is with the AMD stock heatpipe cooler. 55C load (with PC probe II), 40C idle. With better cooling (like a zalman 9500 or something) I could probably get up near 3.0 ghz at 1.38V or so.
Most likely if your came with the 4 Heatpipe Cooler than you should have the 110w. The best way to tell if you have the 89w is by the numbers is it a ADV or ADA?
