yah i was doing buisness with them since 1998 (bought my first 300A from there /tear) but not anymore. Monarch is where i go now for my deals.

I have bought from Newegg and Monarch and my one RMA to Monarch for credit on an unused video card was a hassle compared to the no hassle Newegg rma. Monarch took many phone calls and 2 months to finally issue my credit.

Monarch also very cleverly offered the X2 3800 on preorder for Aug 15 delivery with a 15% restocking fee for cancelled preorders. How can Monarch charge a restocking fee on something thats not in stock?

Mwave has this for 395 shipped (ground). Better deal IMO. You don't have to buy Monarch's crappy 8 dollar cpu/fan (the fans they offer suck)

Better yet, do Mwave cpu/mobo bundle if you also need a motherboard. Just bought the X2 3800/DFI nF4 Ultra-D bundle for 519.58 shipped, with a free copy of Half-Life2 Bronze. The CPU is retail boxed.

I just bought my X2 from Mwave.... too bad Newegg is charging more then they used to. Two weeks ago you could easily buy a 1 GB stick of PC 3200 DDR for $77 from newegg, now the lowest price is 94.81. Time to find some other company to order from

Memory prices are up across the board. My cost to buy OCZ memory, for example, has gone up 10-20% in the last few weeks.

I'm probably still buy from Newegg as they've always done right by me, however I just got an A64 3000+ so I'm not in the market until prices come down a bit for dual core.
