as the subject says...
I believe that some online retailers sell their OEM AMD CPUs with only 30 days warranty, sometimes 15 days...
I had a chance to go to Singapore for a vacation, and when I asked around they offer 1 year warranty for OEM parts and 3 years standard warrranty for the retail box...

so, what's up w/ this? anyone can confirm w/ this? if there r online retailers that give 1 year AMD warranty, can u pls state the URL here....thanks a lot in advance....

I think monarch only offers a 3 year warranty on their OEM CPU's when bought as a CPU/MB combo package. Ofcourse, I may be wrong. At any rate, I ordered my CPU/MB from them and was very happy. Not that many people these days will keep a CPU that long. I am already getting itchy for a 1.2Ghz...:D

I just checked and Monarch includes the 3 year warranty on individual processors, and the prices are not bad.
A 1GHZ Thunderbird is $198.

Watch out for warranties that expire if you overclock them. If you are an overclocker that is.
