*Sighs*.
Faster memory makes no difference on A64 becuase it supports PC3200 regardless. Also, DDR2 modules are currently inhibited by high latency issues, but once AMD makes the switch over to DDR2 for their M2 platform hopefully the latencies will be much lower (I've seen CL4 or 5 on some DDR2 modules, my god).
Does that not mean that running the AMD system DDR400 would
be slower than a INTEL chip and board with the DDR2 533 or new fastest?
Not really. Again DDR2 = Higher latency, so all that speed comes down to nothing really. The P4 itself is a bandwidth hungry architecture because it has latency issues of it's own too (32-stage pipeline anyone?). However with AMD you really don't have to worry because higher speed memory only makes 2-3% difference, and regardless AMD64 is faster than a P4.
Why do so many of you here choose AMD over Intel?
Faster, cheaper, cooler, overclocks better, did I mention cheaper?

And why are you so hooked on ASUS? I mean sure, the A8N-SLI Premium is a great board but can't you keep your options open?
